YEAST / DYSBIOSIS TEST:
This test measures the by-products of yeast
and bacterial metabolism that are excreted
in urine. It is used to detect the presence
of yeast, abnormal bacteria or parasites in
the intestines.
All persons normally have a balance of
various bacterial forms which inhabit the
colon. The term "dysbiosis" is used to characterize an imbalance of the colonic environment when an overgrowth of abnormal organisms are present.
These species of organisms produce
metabolic products which are released into
the bloodstream and can result in a wide
array of health problems and symptoms.
These metabolic products are excreted in the urine, thus allowing for this analysis.
Proper treatment can then be intiated and monitored.
